KITAS (Limited Stay Permit) lets foreigners legally live (and, for certain types, work/invest) in Indonesia—typically 6 to 12 months with extensions available. You apply via e-Visa first, then activate KITAS/ITAS upon arrival or conversion.
You must first acquire a VITAS (Visa Izin Tinggal Terbatas), followed by an ITAS (Izin Tinggal Terbatas), and finally your working visa, the KITAS.
Your passport can be stamped by the immigration offices if you have an ITAS immigration status.
Following the presentation of ITAS, you will be given a white card called KITAS.
